< Previous PagePricing
Typically, prices should not be displayed on the Item pages unless the Item is in the Bargain Room or list a Regular and Sale price like our previous Stair Parts. There are several properties that can help control the appearance of the Price on Item Pages and help generate the correct price.
YS provides only Price & Sale Price fields. We prefer to show customers as many items on a single pg as possible. We have the following properties to help accomplish this.
Baseprice:
Generates price for multiple variations or items on a single page.
Example: Wood & PVC Corbels
Plus-pricing:
Generates price by adding per-determined amounts to the amount in Price field.
Example: 6" Victorian Cedar Porch Posts
Length pricing:
Generates price when cs picks length from pop-downs.
Example: Cornices
Dropdown-entry-values (DEV)
Handles upcharges for material, thickness, and other options
Hide-price-initially:
Hides price from being displayed
Example: None. Flattened most pages; do not use this property
Initial-price-text:
Allows "(displays after selecting options)" to be changed.
Example: Small Cedar Finials
Price-explanation:
Allows "Please Select Options to display Price:" to be changed.
Example: Round Corner Bead
Comments-box-label:
Controls title of a "comments" box that appears as the last option in the Options Field.
Example: Oval Screen Doors
Values-which-require-comments:
Tells program which option Customer enters that will trigger this field as a required field.
Example: Oval Screen Doors
Percent-price-change:
This Property can be used, in conjunction with a Custom Variable, to change all prices on any item page assigned this Property and a Custom Variable, merely by changing the value assinged to the Custom Variable. Adding an asterisk after the 'base' price of an item will suppress this function on a page that has an active Percent-price-change variable .
Materials (and maybe other options?) can be up charged by setting up #number codes in other Option drop downs and ! codes at the end of Material selections that match to corresponding background Variables. See _______.
