Deluxe Installation Kit

Premium, heavy-duty Aluminum Post Installation Brackets and decorative, easy-to-install PVC Post Trim Sleeve (or optional wood Moulding) provide secure, professional results when installing full or half Porch Posts. PVC Sleeve drops into place to completely cover Bracket. (Optional wood Moulding also completely covers Bracket.) Great for ALL porch floors.

Porch Post can be slid horizontally into position on top of Metal Brackets with minimal need to lift porch structure. This installation method is particularly appropriate where building codes require protection from wind lift.


Pre-assembled PVC Post Trim Sleeve
is impervious to insects or moisture, features quick and easy installation, and looks terrific! Just slip Sleeve over Post, install Post, secure Sleeve into place with finishing nails, and use latex caulk around top of Sleeve to seal it to the Post.


Heavy-weight Aluminum Brackets
raise the Post 3/8'' above the surface of floor. Brackets may also be used to attach tops of Porch Posts without "toe-nailing" at an angle.



Exterior use
For exterior use we recommend the PVC Trim Sleeve rather than the optional wood moulding.

The Deluxe Installation Kit is not recommended for exterior wood Porch Posts. If caulk and paint are not well maintained, moisture will penetrate behind Sleeve or Moulding and cause premature damage. Our Mounting Blocks or Plates should be used for exterior wood Porch Posts to avoid this issue. However, the Deluxe Installation Kit can be used with Polyurethane Steel Core and Polyethylene Porch Posts as they are impervious to moisture.

Kit for one Full Post Includes:
      • 2 heavy duty aluminum Brackets with screws and instructions. (raises Post 3/8" above floor.)
      • PVC Sleeve or 4 pieces of Wood Moulding. 2-1/4" tall Sleeve or Moulding is slightly
         hollowed out to fit over the aluminum Brackets and extends to the floor. At floor level,
         Sleeve or Moulding extends 1" beyond each side of Post.

Kit for one Half Post Includes:
      • 1 heavy duty aluminum Bracket with screws and instructions. (raises Post 3/8" above floor.)
      • PVC Half Sleeve or 1 full and 2 half pieces of Wood Moulding. 2-1/4" tall Sleeve or Moulding
         is slightly hollowed out to fit over the aluminum Brackets and extends to the floor. At floor level,
         Sleeve or Moulding extends 1" beyond each side of Post.

Standard Installation Kit (extends 11/16'' beyond each side of Post at floor level) is also available.
