Corner Blocks

Corner Blocks are traditionally used at the top corners of doors and windows, both for their decorative value, and to greatly simplify Casing installation. Because Corner Blocks eliminate the need for tedious, often ill-fitting miter (angle) cuts, installatiion is quick and easy. See our Installation Overview for details.

Corner Blocks may also be used to provide ending points for chair rail moulding when installed to interrupt door or window Casings at chair rail height.

Design 7
We prefer Corner Blocks installed with the wood grain running vertically. (Old carpenters say "trees grow up!". Photographer has a few of the above with grain running horizontally.) We normally make Design 7 with the diagonal portion of the design running from top left to bottom right when grain is vertical. When these Blocks are installed on each side of a door and with their grain oriented vertically, the diagonals will BOTH point in the same direction.

If you prefer your diagonals on each side of a door or window to point in opposite directions (see photo above), please use the dropdown below and select 'opposite direction'. We will then ship half your Blocks with the diagonals running from top right to bottom left.
