Porch Post Base Mounting Plate

Available for 4", 5", and 6" Porch Posts. Heavy-duty Cast Aluminum Base Mounting Plate elevates Porch Post 1" above floor. Recommended for masonry porch floors (concrete, brick, rock, etc.) because they do not allow moisture from the masonry to be transferred to the Porch Post. However, our PVC Base Mounting Blocks are also impervious to moisture and look more traditional and substantial.


Not recommended for wood or synthetic floors, as the plate feet can indent their surfaces. Not for Newel Posts. Use a Newel Mounting Kit to professionally install Newel Posts.

When installed, Plates should be approximately flush with sides of Post, so order the correct size to fit your Porch Posts. Half Plates are used when Half Posts are installed against walls. See Installing Aluminum Base Mounting Plates.
