Spandrel Brackets

Spandrel Brackets, with their attached Drops, allow Spandrels (shown) or Running Trims to be installed between Brackets. This is a great solution where head room is limited or if the unturned area at the top of the Porch Post is too short to install regular Porch Brackets below Spandrels. Click photo for more views.


Spandrel Brackets have 1-1/2" thick cutwork and an attached 2" x 2" Square Drop. Finial on Drop of standard wood Brackets is light-colored smooth hardwoods, regardless which Bracket wood type is selected. Brackets ordered in PVC have a slightly different Finial, as shown on SR 7 below. Material Choices

Spandrel Bracket dimensions list horizontal measurement first and include the Drop. Drawings not to scale. Order Spandrels or Running Trims separately. SR 2 (1163) 1-1/2" x 13-1/2" x 19" Shown with separate 7'' Ball & Dowel Spandrel. Maximum Spandrel height should not exceed 7".

SR 4 (1174)" 1-1/2" x 13-1/2" x 13" Shown with separate 6-1/2'' Wisteria Spandrel. Maximum Spandrel height should not exceed 7".

SR 6 (1146) 1-1/2" x 16-1/2" x 16" Shown with separate 9'' Traditional Spandrel. Maximum Spandrel height should not exceed 10".

SR 7 (1574) 1-1/2" x 13-3/4" x 19" Shown in 1-1/4" thick AZEK PVC with separate 9-1/2" Spool Spandrel. (Spools are smooth hardwoods.) Maximum Spandrel height should not exceed 9-1/2".
