Although not as common, you may have a porch with an extra deep Beam,
such as the 12" height shown here.
This is great, and affords a wide range of possibilities. Here we show a larger Running Trim used as an applique against the Beam. It could also be suspended from the forward edge of the eave, providing an icicle or drapery effect, while leaving room for Repeating Cornice Brackets on the Beam.
