Continuing our study of beams, this example is only 4" high. While
that's sufficient Beam to get our decoration (a Spandrel in this
case) somewhat out of the eave shadow, it limits our choice of Repeating Cornice Brackets. Still, it's much better than no Beam!
Notice also that the Porch Post has changed to a 42" base, with only
a 14" top. This is a common problem with modern existing porches.
There's really no room for a Bracket below our Spandrel, should we
want one.
