On this example and the next few we'll vary the Post spacing. Most of the examples have Posts that are 6 feet on center, but here we find a very tight 4 feet from center to center and it looks very nice.

If you're not sure of your Porch Post spacing you may want to nail some scrap lumber up to represent Posts and experiment with different spacings on your actual porch.
