Interior Handrails

Interior Railing must be wide enough to accommodate your chosen Balusters. Railing with a "plowed" bottom channel is used with Square Top Balusters. This channel must, of course, be wide enough to accommodate the Baluster's width. Handrails listed below may have finger-jointed laminations. The majority of our Handrails can be purchased without a Bottom Channel and used as Wall Rails. Metal brackets are available for mounting to the wall. Interior Handrails may be returned within 30 days of receipt for a 15% restocking fee. Drawings not to scale.


Bottom Channel
The graphic on the right shows the SM-6010 "plowed" for a bottom channel. Fillet (included in the price and shipped with each plowed Handrail) is used to fill the gap between Square Top Balusters when installed in Handrail with a bottom channel.

Over-the-Post Installation
The appropriate Fitting available for each Handrail can be identified by matching the second digit of the Handrail 6000 number to the second digit of the Fitting 7000 number. For example, Fittings that can be used in conjunction with Handrail # SM-6210 will all have a number 2 as the second digit, such as SM-7256. Please note: Fittings with a second digit of "0" only fit the 6010 Handrail, not the 6019 Handrails.
