On the variables page you will find these new variables : promo-banner, promo-banner-popup, promo-banner-alt, and promo-banner-exclude. You can simply load an image into the promo-banner variable, this will be your banner. Then, enter an optional text for promo-banner-alt-text, this will be the alt tag on the image.

For promo-banner-popup, enter the name of the popup page (for example sale-popup.html)

Finally, if you don't want the promo banner to show on some pages, then enter those pages' ids into the promo-banner-exclude field, separating ids with spaces

There is also a hide-old-promo-banner variable, please don't change that.

If you load up a banner, your original promo banner will be hidden (the one you hard-coded into the captions).

I (Istvan Siposs) actually uploaded your current banner into this new promo-banner variable, so right now in the editor this new method is active. If you remove the image from the promo-banner variable, then your old method will re-activate (so the popup you have hard-coded in the caption will show.)
